#4: THE LAST REASON
"my friends are into it too..."
actually, the explanation is just simple. my friends have blogs too.
Some blogs are made to ridicule or insult. That's pretty worthless isn't it. Some e-journals, still, are, like, just for show. For other people to know what's happening in your boring life. I receive text messages from some friends, making their lives an open book as if everyone really cares. I have this friend who got a boo, and that friend group texts us messages that's supposed to be just read by his fiancee. "Take a rest, darling. I miss you." Even if they were together just a couple of hours ago. They go unlimited just to send that sort of stuff to everyone. Kevin Federline in the making, my friends. Others just want to make themselves known. Like the hell we care. I mean, if u have no other reason why u blog other than that, well then audition for american idol or something. That way you'll get more publicity.
But that's not exactly the case in all blogs. I've visited a handful who really stood out. I recommend leslie santelices's blog, in case you know her. The passion is there. It's not just merely the narration of your daily events. It's really fun to read. I mean, you could still enjoy reading the posts even if you don't know the person that made it. Like, just reading a newspaper article.
That's how I want my blog to be.
I want my blog to mirror my passion, my desire for writing. I want to share thoughts and ideas to others, but not in a 2-dimensional way. I will not entirely limit my blog to my daily goings-on, but also give reflections and lessons that the reader would surely need. And of course, i'll make it entertaining, not in a cheap showbiz way, but rather, in an i'm-ur-close-friend-let's-have-a-chitchat sort of thing. I want my blog to be useful both for me and anyone who reads it.
So there. I hope you do get what i'm ranting about. Ta-ta.
